Exclusively offered to VHCTAz-member, Certificate Program Manager Graduates

Session & Topics

Alumni Reunionis designed to build on the foundation we have laid for exceptional veterinary teams. Join your fellow managers and dive deeper into the lessons of the Certificate Program. Examine the triumphs and struggles with other managers in a supportive and resolution-oriented environment. Discuss the successes of implementing the strategies and dealing with challenging experiences as you embarked on the journey of applying what you learned to the realities of everyday practice.

  • Team Culture - It will happen either by design or default

Hospital culture, traditions and policies can be developed with thoughtful, intentional work, or it can evolve by default. Attendees will receive step-by-step guidelines to articulate and create a healthy working environment, the "Ideal Culture." Managers then can re-create the process with the team to identify the culture they choose to build.

  • Is your team running like a Swiss Watch? Efficient, appealing and committed to precision

The shortest distance from point A to point B is a straight line. How efficient is your team when walking this line? Together we will review an outpatient appointment and determine how a team can efficiently streamline the process while building relationships and offering the best care possible. We will identify tools and techniques that can be applied to assist your team in running like an efficient, appealing and precise Swiss Watch.

  • Creative and Innovative Performance Reviews? You bet you can!

You have seen (maybe even used) the daunting, awkward 8-page employee reviews. The reviews that nobody wants to fill out, let alone have a conversation around. Your team may be better served by shorter reviews, focusing on what is going well, what needs to be changed and career goal setting. Now is the time to evaluate your performance reviews to design creative, innovative ways in encouraging and supporting your team.

  • Getting the Team to Buy In Mentally

During this session, discussion will center around what portion of the managers’ sessions were you able to implement successfully. We will be focused on troubleshooting challenges from implementing strategies and tools provided during Certificate Program. If you had to change course, how can you continue to improve the process of building exception veterinary teams? You will be able to use the same process with your team when evaluating programs, services and client experience. You will leave with a sense of how to adapt resources to your team’s unique culture through research-based practices.  Remember, when we created this program, it was designed for you to use the exercises and resources with your team. This problem-solving session is no different!

Attendees must be graduates of the Professional Veterinary Team Member Certificate Program and have a current membership to the Veterinary Health Care Team of Arizona. Registration is $46 for active VHCTAz members, or $82 to renew VHCTAz membership and register to attend.
