Arizona Opioid Epidemic Act & Controlled Substances 101: How and Why You Must Comply will be held at Midwestern University - Ocotillo Hall in Glendale on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Join us for this evening meeting approved for 3 CE hours by the Arizona Academy of Veterinary Practice!

  • Meets the 3 hour CE requirement for Arizona license renewal!

 

Discussion Topics:

  • Learn how to understand AZ. State and Federal DEA Controlled Substances Regulations and why they are applicable to all Veterinarians.
  • Learn how to put together a controlled substance system to stay in compliance with the DEA, AZ. State Veterinary Board and the AZ. State Pharmacy Board.
  • Learn how to minimize your risk of monetary fines, loss of license and/or jail time by the DEA for noncompliance of controlled substance regulations.
  • Learn how to think like a DEA Auditor to minimize theft, loss and/or diversion of controlled substances within your practice.
  • Learn if you have to report a theft, loss and/or diversion of controlled substances to the DEA and Police.

 

Approved for 3 CE hours by the Arizona Academy of Veterinary Practice (for veterinarians and technicians).
