2019 AzVMA Annual State Meeting, Inaugural & Awards Luncheon, and Allied Ice Cream Social will be held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Scottsdale Resort on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 8:00 am until 5:15 pm. Join us for this full-day meeting approved for 6 CE hours by the Arizona Academy of Veterinary Practice!

Presenters

Stephanie McGrath, MS, DVM, DACVIM (Neurology)
Dr. Stephanie McGrath earned a BA from Columbia University in 1998 and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University in 2006. She completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in 2007. Dr. McGrath completed a neurology internship at VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital in Denver from 2007-2008. She did a residency in neurology and neurosurgery and earned a Master of Science degree at Colorado State University. She is currently a clinician, researcher and assistant professor in the neurology department at Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.


Anthea Schick, DVM, DACVD
Dr. Anthea Schick earned her BS degree in biology from U.C. Berkeley and her DVM from Cornell University. While at Cornell, she worked with some of the leading veterinary dermatologists in the country and decided to pursue a dermatology career. After a one-year internship in small animal medicine and surgery in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she completed a three-year dermatology residency at Dermatology for Animals in Arizona. She became part owner of Dermatology for Animals in 2009, which now has practices in ten states. Dr. Schick has a special interest in allergies and ear disease. She enjoys clinical research and teaching and is a preceptor for the Dermatology for Animals residency training program.


Melinda Wood, BA, DVM, MS, DACVIM
Dr. Wood received a BA in French from Bates College in Maine and a DVM from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After an internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Charlotte, NC, she completed an internal medicine residency and master’s degree at Virginia Tech in 2007. She was then in private practice for 7 years, most recently at VCA Animal Referral and Emergency of Arizona in Mesa, Arizona. Dr. Wood was Scientific Affairs Manager at Royal Canin for 3 years before joining Aratana Therapeutics as a Veterinary Medical Liaison in November 2017. She has special interests in gastroenterology, nutrition, endocrinology and pain management.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations before 5-1-19 will receive refunds in full. No-shows or cancellations received after 5-1-19 will be charged the full amount.

Late Registration Policy: Registrations received on the week of the event will be charged a $20 late registration processing fee.
